ORAS Academy of Hope (OAH) hosts its first batch of trainees for the Leadership and Entrepreneurship program 2023.     

 On April 14 and 15 2023 at the Yaoundé office, the organization Orphans Assistance (ORAS)  saw what was yesterday a mere thought become a reality. A batch of ten internally displaced women and girls: widows, orphans, prospective volunteers, acquired fresh skills on the production of bleach, menthol, beaded footwear and event decoration. One of the main objectives being to lay a foundation for their economic empowerment.

It should be recalled that the crisis that hit the North and South West regions of Cameroon since 2016 has resulted in many persons moving to Urban areas like Yaoundé and Douala with little or no means  of survival.

ORAS recognizes the role it has to play as a civil society actor working in the area of peace, and entrepreneurship to curb poverty  and reduce crime , by empowering  persons in need beyond humanitarian donations. The event was fully funded by ORAS  and deeply appreciated by participants who requested for a follow up and future editions. At the end of the training participants went home with their products to try . The rest was displayed at the orass premium shop to raise more funds future projects.
